Week 37

How far along? 37 Weeks

Baby's size? She was measuring to weigh 6 pounds and 6 ounces!

Weight Gain? The total weight gain is 19 pounds. The scale said I lost 9 pound this week.. It had to have been off but I am going to go with what it says. If next week it says I have gained 12 pounds we will know why!

Maternity clothes? I bought a few new dresses that I'm enjoying and will continue to enjoy even after she comes. Perfect for summer!

Stretch marks? Yes. No new ones this week.

Belly Button in or out? Inny

Sleeping? Depends... Heart burn has been better this week but just getting comfortable has been the challenge. I wake up and can't get back to sleep very easily.

Foods I am loving? Fruit and Tequila lime chicken from Applebees!!! Ha.

Foods I'm hating? Not a thing.

Movement? I think she only moves to get comfy or find room. I just don't have a lot of room left for her now! :( Not much longer and she can have all the room she wants in this big ole world!

Best moment this week? We had our sonogram and everything looks perfect! She has plenty of fluid and measuring to be a perfect size. We are head down and ready to roll!

Symptoms? Swelling. I'm ready to have normal sized feet and fingers!!

Gender? It's a girl! Oakleigh Jade

What I miss? Sleep, Normal Clothes, My wedding ring!

What I'm looking forward to? Besides meeting our sweet baby I'm looking forward to maternity leave! I start two weeks from tomorrow and couldn't be more excited about it!

Milestones: We have made no progress in the dilation department. We are considered to be full term and ready at any day!!

Emotions: I'm just ready to meet our baby girl!

Week 36

How far along? 36 Weeks

Baby's size? Crenshaw Melon - What the heck is that??

Weight Gain? The total weight gain is 28.

Maternity clothes? Every single thing.

Stretch marks? Yes. Good thing I never wore a cute little bikini before I got prego! :)

Belly Button in or out? Inny

Sleeping? Depends... Heart burn is making it harder to sleep. I guess I need to learn how to manage on little to no sleep! :)

Foods I am loving? The fruit craving has picked back up this week. I went and spent $20 on fruit alone the other day. It's also already gone! :*(

Foods I'm hating? As always... nothing!

Movement? The movement has slowed down some what. It's just constant rolls and stretching out in my ribs. This child needs to find a new home for her feet other than my ribs!!

Best moment this week? We started our weekly appointments, looked at my doctors on call schedule so I know what dates I need to aim for (don't laugh... I want to MAKE SURE my doctor delivers this baby).

Symptoms? Swelling, swelling, and SWELLING!!!!

Gender? It's a girl! Our little girl Oakleigh Jade.... as my husband calls her our little Oak Oak. It's cute when you hear him say it in his special voice.

What I miss? The tanning bed!! I hate being this white when it's so hot outside! Speaking of tanning beds... my doctor chewed me a new one today. I went to Alyssa's softball game Saturday and after two hours I looked like a lobster! That never would have happened to me before getting pregnant but my doctor was not a fan of me getting so burnt. She almost made me purchase sun screen before I left her office... no lie.

What I'm looking forward to? Having this baby but first I need to put up the finishing touches on her nursery. I cant wait to show you! Oh... and I'm having our last sonogram next week! It's the last time I get to see her before actually meeting her and holding her! I'm sure she has grown so much!

Milestones: I had a big wish that I could type this after today and say I was dilated to a 2. Well... no such luck. I've made no progress!!

Emotions: I feel like a somewhat normal person this week!! Crazy I know.

Side Note: I've had my doctor that I have now since I was 18 and started going to the female doctor. I trust her and only feel comfortable with her delivering my child. Call me crazy but I've just established that bond with her. She has know this from the beginning of my pregnancy. I have also known since the beginning she has a few young boys who are playing travel baseball this year and Oakleigh's due date falls right in the middle of ball season for them. I have told her since day one I am fine with induction if it will guarantee that she will deliver this child. We were looking at her on call schedule this week and it looks like if all goes well and Oakleigh is ready (or doesn't decided to come on her own) we will go in to be induced on June 7th or the night of the 6th. Just sitting down and talking about a date made this all seem so real. I'm going to continue to pray for this sweet girl and that we pick a time to met her when she is ready! :)

Week 35

Starting next week I am going to start doing these up dates every week since I am now going to the doctor weekly. Yay! I say this every time I know but where has the time gone? This pregnancy has gone by so fast. I know it will be the same once baby girl gets here. Any ideas on how to make time slow it's fast paced butt down?

How far along? 35 Weeks

Baby's size? Honeydew Melon

Weight Gain? I'm up to a total of 26 pounds. I'm learning to just embrace it... Remind me of this when I have to take all this weight off!

Maternity clothes? Oh yes... Everything.

Stretch marks? Oh yes... I will show her one day of how much she is loved by the look of my stomach.

Belly Button in or out? Inny

Sleeping? Most nights I don't sleep very well... toss and turn. I maybe have a few nights a week where I can get some really good sleep. I'm praying tonight is one of those... I'm tired!

Foods I am loving? I'm getting to where I have no cravings and no room for food!I still eat though... don't worry! :)

Foods I'm hating? I don't hate any kind of food!

Movement? Much less kicks and punches and more rolls and turns. I think she is starting to run out of room!

Best moment this week? We had our baby shower last weekend. That was by far my favorite part! :)

Symptoms? Swelling and the hormones! Do you ever get back to normal? Please tell me yes.

Gender? It's a girl! Oakleigh Jade

What I miss? Being able to bend down and pick up something from the sitting position and walking like a normal person. Waddle much.

What I'm looking forward to? I start my weekly appointments next week! Whoo Hoo!!

Milestones: I guess you could call getting to weekly visits a milestone! I have less than four weeks left at work.

Emotions: Soooooo ready! I'm tired, swollen, and oh so ready!

Baby Shower for Miss Oakleigh Jade

This weekend was our baby shower for our precious little girl. It was more than I could have ever asked for. Honestly it was perfect!

I'm so lucky to have had 10 lovely ladies who hosted this shower for us... family and friends both.

They held the shower at a local deli/shop and it was the perfect location.

I'm not sure where to start but the invites sounds like a good place. They were designed by the lovely Allison. She is one of my oldest friends from grade school and sooo talented at what she does!

This was hanging on the door outside as you walked up to the building. This was made by the talented Candice. I swear she should start her own local business or at least an Etsy shop. The things she can do are beyond amazing! This will be on the door at the hospital as well as hanging in the nursery.

I thought the entry table was so adorable. My aunt Amanda made the babies out of diapers, wash clothes, socks and pins. I wish I had a better close up shot of this table!

The food table with the beautiful flower centerpiece.

This cake was not only cute but tasted so yummy. I took what wasn't ate home and let me tell you... It didn't last long there.

Two beautiful ladies!

Ok... So I'm pretty sure my eyes look closed in every picture of me. I didn't think my face had started swelling but after looking at these pictures I was wrong.

Me and the lovely Vanessa.

This is one of my besties... This is our normal picture.

We usually look like this....

Miss Thang with her favorite principal... who also happens to be our cousin.

We call ourselves the 3B's.

I wish this wasn't so blurry. These are the lades I graduated HS with. I was so glad they could all make it... with all their babies!

The gift table... I cant describe how bless I feel. This is one loved little girl.

I am in love with the gifts I gifted the hostess with! I found the cutest shop on Etsy and the seller was so easy to work with! How adorable are these?

Thank you to all our hostesses and guests. We are so excited about the arrival of our baby girl and so happy you chose to share in this time with us!! Thank you so much!

I was going to do a solo post about her name but since her name is plastered all over these pictures I will go ahead and share. We have FINALLY come up with a first and middle name for our little princess. Oakleigh Jade. I love it. We have had mixed reviews but honestly... It doesn't matter because we I think its perfect! :)

Friday Phone Dump

I'm going to try and pull my head away from all things baby and update you on what we have been doing lately.

Our life now consists of all things softball.

Alyssa has practice and/or game every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Talk about being busy...

I wanted to share a funny story about our game Tuesday. I say it's funny now... at the time I didn't think it was very funny.

Tuesday at the start of the game Alyssa was playing outfield behind first base (this is her usual position on the field). Like literally seconds before the game started she had to go to the bathroom so they pulled her from the game and she was replaced with another team mate. At the start of the second inning it was time for her to play outfield again but this time behind second base (a new position to her). I saw her talking to the coach, walk out to the field then turn around and back to her coach for a few seconds. She then walked to the bench and took off her glove and sat down and he called another girl to take her place on the field. I was confused so I went to ask her why she was back on the bench and it went like this...

Me - Alyssa... What's wrong? Did you tell coach you didn't want to play?
Alyssa - Umm... No mom. (Insert attitude) I told him I didn't want to play that position so I'm not.

I almost fell to the floor. The next inning she asked if she could play on the field and coach told her no because she wasn't willing to be a team player so she wasn't getting to play. Needless to say the family attended a game to watch her sit the bench. Such a proud mom moment! :)

I came across this picture in my phone and wanted to share it. I had to travel to Las Vegas for work just a few weeks after we found out we were having a baby. I love this picture of me and my sweet mom!

I never got around to posting about our one year anniversary in March. I need to back date a post and do that. We decided since we are saving for a baby and nursery we weren't going to buy anything for each other and just do dinner. I got home from work that night and Jason had arranged to have roses and a card for me on the table. I still don't know how he did it considering he works 30 mins away from home and leaves before me and gets home after me! That man I married sure is sweet.

The weather lately has been so pretty that most nights we stay outside and play. The kids find crazy things to do... this was one of them. See how many times they could get thru the basketball hoop??

I think Bella knows what is going on.... or that something is going to happen soon. She has been so clingy with me and wants to aways lay on me or near my belly.

Sometimes I will find her just laying in the babies room. Sweet baby girl!

I think my dog is beautiful!! Seriously look at this face...

Hope your having a wonderful week!

I'm thinking the next post will be about my shower. I seriously can't wait!! :)

Week 33

How far along? 33 Weeks

Baby's size? Pineapple

Weight Gain? So I gained 12 pounds... I told you the scales were off at my lost appt. So I'm up 23 pounds... Ugh! Can the weight gain stop now please?

Maternity clothes? Pretty much everything I wear is maternity.

Stretch marks? They have made the grand entrance... and I noticed (thanks to the mirror) I have some that I didn't know I had. Lovely.

Belly Button in or out? Inny

Sleeping? Sleep varies each night... sometimes I can sleep good and all night without waking up. Some nights I wake up all night long tossing and turning. I have put a pedestal fan right beside my side of the bed... if it wasn't for that bad boy I wouldn't be sleeping at all.

Foods I am loving? Nothing sticks out this week...

Foods I'm hating? I don't hate any kind of food! :)

Movement? Watching my belly move when she does has to be my favorite part of pregnancy. I could just watch her for hours. She is moving but it seems like less kicks and punches and more rolls.

Best moment this week? Doing the finishing touches in the nursery... I will hopefully have that post up in a few weeks! :)

Symptoms? Swelling and the raging hormones! I feel sorry for my husband... When I can tell it's bad it has to be bad! He has been such a trooper!

Gender? It's a girl!

What I miss? Being able to bend down and pick up something from the sitting position. My feet not hurting from the moment I wake until I go to bed.

What I'm looking forward to? Her arrival... Can't get here fast enough!

Milestones: My next appointment is my last every other week appt... we start seeing the doctor every week very soon!

Emotions: Besides being VERY hormonal I'm just ready!

Week 31

How far along? 31 Weeks ... We are down to a single digit count down folks!!

Baby's size? Four Navel Oranges

Weight Gain? I lost 7 pounds at my last appointment... so I am at a total gain of 13 pounds. I think the scales were off...

Maternity clothes? Oh yea...

Stretch marks? They are no worse than a few weeks ago... but they have started!

Belly Button in or out? Inny... I don't think it will go out.

Sleeping? I sleep ok... I feel like I'm a oven when I sleep. Wake up sooo hot all the time. It's also getting harder to turn in the bed. - I still feel the exact same way!!!

Foods I am loving? Fruit is great as always... A good cheeseburger! :)
Foods I'm hating? Nothing

Movement? She has moved and is now head down. This has been much more comfortable for my bladder! :)

Best moment this week? We have started putting the furniture together in the nursery. I'm a little off schedule but we are getting there. Thank goodness! This momma was stressing!

Symptoms? Swelling is no fun... I hate it actually. Heart burn is no fun either...

Gender? It's a girl!

What I miss? Sleeping... I sleep good but it's hard to get comfy.

What I'm looking forward to? Starting to wash all her clothes... I can't wait! Also my shower is coming up in a few weeks! I'm sooo excited about that!

Milestones: I am in the single digit count down now... YAY!!!

Emotions: Ready!! :)
